Prickly Pear Seed Oil is derived from the fruit of the flowering Opuntia Cactus. It has a high concentration of natural antioxidant vitamin E and as well as essential fatty acids- linoleic acid (omega-6) and oleic acid. It is an effective emollient that locks moisture into the skin.

Native to North America, it is now found growing in parts of the Caribbean, Mediterranean and Africa. Due to its prevalence and drought resistance, prickly pear is considered relatively sustainable. The large quantity of seeds required to make the oil means greater processing than similar oils and so 100% pure prickly pear commands a premium price tag.
